DETAILS:

THE RESUS COURSE is a two day resuscitation based course open to physicians looking to enhance their skills in this realm.

This two day course uses clinical grade cadavers prepared with novel technique that preserves tissues in a way that provides an unmatched learning experience. We combine this with a flipped classroom model to optimize hands on time, 4:1 instructor to learner ratio and a variety of high fidelity manikins and workshops to optimize skill acquisition.

Procedural workshops include:

  • Video Laryngoscopy and awake intuabtion

  • Vascular access

  • Lateral canthotomy and cantholysis

  • Surgical airway (FONA)

  • Chest tube insertion

  • Pericardiocentesis

  • Resuscitative thoracotomy

  • Transvenous pacemaker insertion

  • SALAD airway (contaminated airway managment)

  • Resuscitative ultrasound

  • Baloon tamponade for GI bleeding

  • Workshops on Vasoactive medications and ventilator use
