Percutaneous pig tail catheters and chest tubes

Dr. Alexander Ednie, thoracic surgeon, describes his approach to insertion of percutaneous pig tail catheters and chest tubes. This includes the 14F pig tail catheter “Wayne pneumothorax” kit and the “thal quick” 20F chest tube. As mentioned in the video, the “thal quick” comes in various sizes, including a 14F suitable for pneumothorax, and compatible with a standard heimlich valve for ED discharge for spontaneous pneumothorax.
